MACARTHUR RECOVERY RETREAT
Join us for the first Macarthur Recovery Retreat. Spend a weekend connecting with others in recovery while sharing experience, strength and hope in the peaceful surroundings of Wedderburn Christian Campsite.
The retreat offers time for meetings, meditation, fellowship, and quiet moments in nature. It is a chance to step away from everyday life and reconnect with the principles that guide recovery.
The theme for the 2027 retreat is Awakening the Spirit. Recovery is not only about staying sober. It is about growth, purpose, and finding renewed strength through connection with others.
Whether you are new in recovery or have many years of sobriety, this weekend offers a welcoming space to listen, share, and support one another.

Free Time and Outdoor Activities
Guests can enjoy the pool, explore the bushland surroundings, or simply spend time with friends in recovery.
Meals and Fellowship
Breakfast, lunch, dinner, and tea breaks are shared during the retreat, creating space for connection and conversation.
Closing Gathering
The retreat concludes on Sunday with a final meeting followed by a BBQ lunch and farewell gathering.

Wedderburn Christian Campsite sits on 136 acres of Australian bushland in the Macarthur region of New South Wales. The tranquil setting provides the perfect
environment for reflection, fellowship, and spiritual growth.
Located about 10 minutes from Campbelltown and roughly 57 kilometres south west of the Sydney CBD, the campsite feels peaceful and secluded while still being easy to reach.
With comfortable facilities, meeting spaces, accommodation options, outdoor gathering areas, and campfire spaces, the campsite provides everything needed for a memorable retreat experience.
How To Get
there
By Car
From Sydney, take the M5 motorway toward Campbelltown. Continue south along Appin Road and follow signs toward Wedderburn. Turn into Minerva Road and continue until you reach the campsite entrance.
From Campbelltown, the campsite is approximately a 10 minute drive.
Parking is available onsite.
Public Transport
Train services run regularly from Sydney to Campbelltown Station. From the station the campsite can be reached by taxi or rideshare.
